第9回コラム

本年度10月から、当教室に新たな仲間が加わりました。中国からの留学生で、「邢智钧」と言います。
彼は今年7月に出身大学を卒業し、来年度からは信州大学の大学院へ入学して当教室で勉強したいと希望してくれました。
それまでの期間も日本にきて、語学や文化に少しでも早く慣れたいとのことで、10月から教室の研究生としての生活を始めています。

今月のコラムは、彼が教室にきて初めてのmissionである「日本語と英語の両方での自己紹介」をお届けします。

「より良い呼吸器外科医を目指して」

　私の叔父は医師で、子供の頃から叔父に憧れていて、いつも信頼しているので、大学では臨床医学を専攻しました。中国で私は臨床と基礎知識を学び、徐々に優秀なインターンに成長しました。インターンシップ中に、さまざまな診療科から多くの臨床知識を学びました。呼吸器外科でのインターンシップ中に、私が感動したイベントがあります。右下葉肺がん切除手術（VATS）に参加したのですが、手術後、患者さんに手を握られ、「ありがとう」と言われて、医師として病気を治療し、命を救うことの感動を初めて感じました。

　叔父は胸部外科医です。私は大学3年生の時から暇を見つけては彼の教室で勉強していました。進行性小細胞肺がんで心臓が止まるまで酸素飽和度が下がり続けるのを見たとき、涙がこぼれました。肺がんが世界で最も罹患率、死亡率の高いがんであると知り、肺がんを自分のキャリアにしようと密かに誓いました。

　呼吸器外科の研究を始めたきっかけで、偶然清水先生の論文を目にしました。世界にはこれほど先進的な治療法があることを知りました。世界の最先端の呼吸器外科治療法を知りたくて清水先生に研究生として勉強させてほしいとお願いしました。信州大学の呼吸器外科に来たことは、私の人生で選んだ最も正しい選択だったと言えます。ここには優しい先生方がいるだけでなく、世界最先端の技術があることがわかりました。ここには親切な先生方がいらっしゃるだけでなく、世界最先端の技術があることが分かりました。しっかりと勉強して清水先生のチームに倣い、自分自身の科学研究成果を出せるよう努力していきたいと思います。

My past with thoracic surgery:

 In our family, my uncle is a doctor. I have admired him since I was a child. I feel very at ease every time when I see him. So I chose clinical medicine as my major at university. During the five years of clinical medicine study in China, I learnt clinical and basic knowledge, and slowly grew into an excellent intern. During my internship, I learned a lot of clinical knowledge from different departments. There is an event that moved me during my internship in thoracic surgery, I participated in a lower right lung cancer resection surgery (VATS). After the operation, the patient held my hand and said thank you. That was the first time I felt the excitement of treating diseases and saving lives as a doctor.

 Moreover, my uncle is a thoracic surgeon. I have been studying in his department in my spare time since my third year of college. When I see that the oxygen saturation continues to drop until the heart stops beating due to advanced small cell lung cancer, at that time I burst into tears. I learned that lung cancer has the highest morbidity and mortality rates in the world, so I secretly vowed to make lung cancer as my career path.

 As I continue to learn about thoracic surgery, I accidentally saw Professor Shimizu's paper. I discovered that there are such advanced treatment methods in the world. In order to learn about the world's advanced respiratory surgical treatment methods, I asked Professor Shimizu to let me become his research student and study with him. Coming to the Division of Thoracic Surgery of Shinshu University can be said to be the most correct choose which I have chosen in my life. I found that here, there are not only some kind teachers, but also the world's most advanced technology. I will definitely study hard, follow Professor Shimizu’s team, and strive to produce my own scientific research results.
